This week, I had the absolute pleasure of training the social prescribers from Integrated Plus, Dudley Council for Voluntary Services. I was commissioned to create a two-day bespoke Motivational Interviewing course for the troops. Included within the training were my new training films, starring the always fantastic Charlotte Bates, along with the usual suspects of Gwyn Hill and Rob Caton. Both of whom knock it out of the park with their fantastic portrayals of Colin and Colin’s Mum, the legendary Avis.
I travelled down to Dudley and yes, I was in an actual classroom, see the photographic evidence. It was exhilarating being in a classroom. I felt like I’d come home and long may that feeling continue. My dear friend, the ever so talented Jamie Honeybourne has been writing of the joy he feels of actually being present in the same room as his learners. He is so right – but then again, he’s always spot on. Andrew and I will soon be witnessing Jamie’s prowess in the flesh, when we travel to see him and his unbelievably talented partner Alan in their Isolation Creation stage show in Scarborough. I’m loving life today!
Anyhow, back to Dudley and the wonderful feedback that I received. 100% positive with some truly uplifting comments.
