“Superb facilitation. Great examples from experience."Rebecca, University of Liverpool

Greetings one and all,

Today was a GRAND day indeed! I was back in an actual classroom and back at The University of Liverpool. It is one of my absolute favourite places to visit, not just the University but the city too. Such warm and inviting people, although the woman who ‘helpfully’ pointed us in the way of the training venue seemed dead set on sending us to the other side of Liverpool – not so helpful that one… Still, we got there eventually, phew and with thirty minutes to spare.

I was back on my old stomping ground with the newly rejuvenated ‘Dealing with Potential Aggression’ course which I piloted with Liverpool back in 2018! Can it really be such a long time ago? It feels like yesterday. The course has (as have all my courses) had a top to toe revamp. There were some familiar faces on the training, so just as well I wasn’t repeating myself. The ever so wonderful Gwyn Hill made her grand return as the pretty extraordinarily ‘Nana Joan.’ Plus, the new training films starring Rob Caton and Charlotte Bloom went down a storm. There was laughter, discussion, more laughter, some serious points to be made and lots and lots of learning activities.

The staff were greatly appreciative of the work I have put into the course, as you can see below from a smattering of the feedback comments. As always 100% positive. It fills me with joy to know people can see for themselves just how much work I put into my course creation. The research I undertake, the interviews and of course the bespoke training films, made just for them.

Today I partnered with a dear friend Sarah, I showed her my course and had her take part. She will soon be joining forces with me, more on that at a later date…
