Greetings one and all,
I have some rather glorious feedback to share, so of course here I am sharing it.
I recently delivered a Trauma and Change session with Staffordshire County Council. The feedback was superb – mostly down to the wonders of both Charlotte and Ryan, the two legends who helped me to create a course that charts post traumatic growth. They are both absolute legends and I could not have done it without them. A massive thank you to both Hazel and Miranda at Staffordshire who have always supported my learning and development endeavours.
Learner comments:
“As ever Steve, your knowledge is outstanding. Your passion is addictive. Open, honest and frank discussions, always willing to listen to anyone’s opinion or voice. Breakout rooms were a good mixture each time we went in. P.S Love no role plays!!”
“Steven is by far the best trainer I have ever had or come across; this is my second training with him. His commitment and compassion just make me want to thrive more. I hope to meet again soon. Just want to say how lovely it was to see the change in Ryan well done!!!”
“Really enjoyed the group breakout sessions, this breaks up the whole day training. Enjoyed bringing to life the service users and the examples provides for the task, this helps and allows us to relate this to our frontline practice. The task sheets felt meaningful and allows us to engage in the training rather than trainer doing all the talking.”
“This was probably the most interactive virtual training I have ever been on which was definitely a positive aspect. I enjoyed being put into lots of different break out groups, giving me an opportunity to work with lots of different people over the day.”
“Steve created an environment that was inclusive, it felt like any of us could have asked a question or for clarification at any point. I like the way Steve just selected people to feedback sometimes, this prevents everyone going quiet and not knowing whether to speak or feedback or not.”
“I feel honoured and privileged to hear from Ryan and Charlotte via their videos, thank you for sharing your very personal and lived experiences with us all. I love Steves’s training, Steve you are extremely personable, and I always come away feeling like I’ve had a really good in depth and insightful chat with a friend rather than having been lectured at (If that makes any sense!)”
“I have attended previous training courses and once again this was very informative. Steve has a way of delivering training which makes it interactive, inclusive, and kept my interest throughout the whole day. I would definitely attend future training. Thank you.”
“I really enjoyed the course. As always Steve was an enthusiastic trainer, who included the right balance of information, discussion and group work. The case study – Ryan and Charlotte had real impact. Their honestly will really help others. See you again on another course soon!”
“Well organised and flowed well, relevant and engaging, using different learning techniques and opportunities to work with different people in small groups and share opinions, relating to work and self. Handouts also very good.”
“As always, a really great session. Steve’s delivery of the course content, including the real-life case studies, is brilliantly refreshing. Being neurodivergent, the interactive approach is very much appreciated as it prevents me from becoming disinterested and wandering elsewhere in my mind. Steve is a top bloke, with a wealth of knowledge and his friendly Stokie nature and accent make me feel right at home!”
“Thanks for today. It’s the most engaged I’ve ever been in training in 10 years! The key point in this for me was to think how parents I work with are coping with a very uncertain future. I will feed that back to my team tomorrow in the team meeting. Thanks.”
