Making Safeguarding Personal - "Inspirational and very powerful.” Feb 2024

Greetings one and all,

Here I am with some lovely feedback from the troops at Stoke on Trent City Council. As I am sure you are aware I have been delivering my ‘That Human Moment’ training to staff from across Adult Social Care. Making Safeguarding Personal delivered in insolation could be a ‘tick box’ exercise, not so with Stoke on Trent City Council. The training builds on the work that we have been doing in regard to Motivational Interviewing and Trauma and Change. Hopefully by embedding these skills, we will begin to measure the successes of both the residents of Stoke and the members of staff. I have found each class to be comprised of extremely motivated and engaging learners.

As you can see from the collated feedback, the learners have been loving the training.

I have created a fully interactive, thought-provoking day of training that contains lived experience and several films highlighting the good work that people have done. Malcolm’s film is especially popular, with many people extremely moved by his honesty and conviction.

On completion of the training session has your knowledge increased? 100% positive response. What else would you expect?
