Motivational Interviewing with Stoke on Trent City Council
Greetings one and all,
I recently had the distinct fortune to spend two days with the troops from Stoke on Trent City Council. It was there that I launched my 2024 version of adult social care specific Motivational Interviewing. This brand-new version includes:
· New training films – some of which had the learners howling with laughter (always a good sigh!)
· Interviews with people who have overcome their issues and embraced new ways of living.
· Brand new learning resources, including an exceptionally popular new look board game!
Feedback ranged from: “This has been brilliant training. I enjoyed the mix of practical activities and theory. All of the information was shared via a variety of different learning methods. The training was delivered brilliantly and Steven made everyone feel at ease.” To, “Fantastic training as always from Steve. It was a small group which benefitted us as we could ask many questions and we had a more personalised approach, with Steven working with each of us. Thank you.” Then of course I had, “VERY ENGAGING training, the tutor (Steve) kept my attention throughout. Excellent.” And, “Engaging, informative, thoughtful, I have learned some great skills that I will use in my practice. 😊” And lest we forget, “As always with Steven, excellent training.”
As you can see, the new course has been a hit, a palpable hit indeed! And long may it continue. In June, I will be launching my new children’s social care version with Staffordshire County Council. Again, it is a top to toe revamp, with everything newly created.
The first few months of 2024 have been wonderful and it appears the year is just getting busier and busier. I’m absolutely loving it. Onward, ever onward.
