"Informative and interactive." Effective Factual Recording with Birmingham City Council

Greetings one and all,

A short one today. I have been delivering so many courses to so many people that I’ve ended up running myself a little bit ragged! Fear not, I’m fighting fit again and raring to go. Blimey, is it really August before I get a few days off…?

Earlier this year I was commissioned to create two very different courses, one was the rather popular ‘Trauma and Change’ and the other was ‘Effective Factual Recording’ (homelessness and housing specific) and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed creating and delivering the pair of them. I was a tad worried that the effective factual course could be very dry and so I initially packed it full with activity after activity. In fact, FAR too many. Needless to say, I have made some changes, I do like to reflect on action and so, we now have the finished article and it has gone down very nicely. The new training films really hit their mark and reflect some of the challenges faced by housing staff.

So, here are just some of the lovely feedback comments I’ve received from staff at Birmingham City Council with regard to my Effective Factual Recording course:

“This training was very interesting and made me think about the assumptions I sometimes make.”

“Informative and great involvement with people. Well done.”

“Enjoyed the training, well planned and timed.”
