And you can’t say fairer than that, now can you?

Welcome one and all to a brief summary of the Motivational Interviewing (MI) training that I recently delivered to staff from across Staffordshire County Council.  The assembled learners were all eager to learn and it was very encouraging when some of them stated they had previously been on MI training and found it rather dull, whereas with me, they LOVED it!  Yes, they used the word ‘love.’  Blimey!  It was very telling that at 4pm on day two, they didn’t want the training to end. 

My new film, ‘Lynda’ has been going down a storm and I’ll be revisiting Lynda and her son in August for a follow up interview.  She has been going great guns, and she absolutely believes that the support she has received from her family support worker at the council has been key to her recovery.  She’s a beautiful human being who has received many knocks in life.  Each time she has put the safety and security of her son first and it is a testament to her determination that he is now thriving at school.
