"An excellent, inclusive learning environment, fun and friendly atmosphere throughout the whole day." Respect and Inclusion, Feb 2024

Greetings one and all,

I recently had the distinct pleasure of training a cohort of troops from various children and families teams at Staffordshire County Council. A council that I am sure you are all aware, I am very fond of indeed! The council has been at forefront of spreading the Steven Talbot Consultancy message, I have always been supported by them and it goes to show that when they say they will back local employers, they mean it.

The session that I delivered was ‘It’s Just Banter Mate’ my Respect and Inclusions course. Using real lived-experience, I demonstrate the importance of embedding respect into all that we do. All the while challenging firmly held beliefs and helping people to address their prejudices and attitudes. As you can see from the feedback comments, the training was VERY popular. I find that the most important thing is to create an environment where people are allowed to discuss their thoughts and feelings. Where debate is encouraged. Where discussion about issues affecting people in Staffordshire are highlighted and most encouragingly of all, show how staff from the council have positively supported a myriad of people.

I am very proud of the staff from the council. They are working tirelessly to support and encourage people and they’re doing a smashing job.
