"Excellent training, informative + very engaging." Making Safeguarding Personal with Stoke on Trent City Council and Insight Academy, March 2024

Greetings one and all,

Here I am today, reflecting on my new course, #Making #Safeguarding #Personal – That Human Moment.  It took me quite a while to create the course and this was because of various factors.  Interviews with residents of Stoke on Trent (and beyond) who were desperate to share their stories.  Creating new and engaging training films that both entertained and informed the learners.  Ensuring that everyone’s learning styles were met and the activities were appealing and motivational.  Phew!  I need a lie down after each session as I have packed them with kinaesthetic, hands-on training resources that really make people think.

The course was created for #Stoke on Trent City Council and was commissioned by Expert Citizens Insight Academy, part of the Changing Futures programme.  Stoke is exceptionally lucky to have such a wonderful resource on its doorstep and long may it continue to thrive and grow.

I’m particularly loving the fact that the star of my film, Malcolm is becoming something of a celebrity in Stoke!  His lived experience and honesty have really made an impact.

Here are the feedback comments:
