“I feel so much more aware of the signs of empathy fatigue."

Last week, I delivered my highly sought after ‘Empathy Fatigue’ course.  I initially created the course back in 2018 and each year I have updated and altered the course to best reflect on-going practice.  Again, this course was commissioned by Expert Citizens Insight Academy from Stoke on Trent.  Such an asset to the city and to good practice.

The 2025 version of the course now includes a brand-new questionnaire about practice and stress levels and also a whole slew of afternoon activities that will hopefully boost motivation and address burnout and empathy fatigue.

This is what people had to say:

“A brilliant course.”

“Great training, I feel that I can apply it this in my work.”

“I’m more aware of the signs before it comes to burnout.”

“This session has helped me reflect on how I should take mine and my teams wellbeing more a priority. Shutting down people’s negativity and find the positive in things. Learning to say no and identifying triggers of empathy fatigue.”

“I feel so much more aware of the signs of empathy fatigue and what I should do to try and combat the issues before I reach burnout.”

“It has also given me insight into others around me that may experience empathy fatigue or burnout.”

"I will apply this in my day-to-day work.”

“I need to be able to not carry and overthink my cases "

“Share with my team especially the mood hoovers, improved confidence around positive challenging their behaviours.”
