Hello one and all,
I surefire way of making me happy is for me to deliver training to staff from Staffordshire County Council. What a group! From the wonderful Adam (“we meet again Mr. Bond”) to the gloriously funny Mandy/I’s (that would make sense if you were on the training.) The whole day has been marvellous and I’ve laughed and I’ve learned and so did they. Today, we looked at Respect and Inclusion, which now includes up to date changes to the Equality Act and the Labour government’s clarification of certain areas of legislation. I like to keep ahead of the curve! I also roped in some chums to appear in my training films and re-jigged an existing film to streamline the day.
I deliver the course with my friend Di, (police vulnerability expert) who has developed areas of the training that focus on listening skills. Her knowledge with regard to policing, interviewing, compassionate responses and vulnerability is second to none and I’m very proud to be in close proximity to such an inspirational woman. She’s amazing and a great support to me, both professionally and emotionally.
