“This training was perfect!”


Why – thank you!  What training are they referring to, well, it was my ever-popular Effective Factual Recording 2025 version of course.  Whoever thought THAT would be so popular!  Thanks to Expert Citizens Insight Academy I have been delivering this training to an array of professionals from across North Staffordshire.  That includes the local authority, NHS, local charities, housing associations and support organisations. 


So, what’s the course all about?  Well, let me explain:


Aim: To ensure that all staff can record information correctly, legibly and legally.  Establishing effective communication with all customers and colleagues.


Objectives: by the end of today’s session, you will be able to:


1.      Explain the importance of legal and legible case notes.

2.      Explore barriers to communication, especially in relation to what has previously been stated about the client.

3.      Describe some of the common pitfalls when completing notes.

4.      Illustrate how to overcome any assumptions.

5.      Determine how to ensure that the client’s voice is heard.

6.      Express how to create excellent notes that quote what the person has stated.

7.      Describe the need to summarise in a succinct and factual fashion that tells the full story.


The course is hands on, super interactive and you get to see and hear real case studies and interviews with people who may have not had the best experience with professionals, especially with regard to what had been written down about them…
