Motivational Interviewing Training with the Insight Academy, July 20205, "Honestly Steve, this was the best training ever!”

Last week I delivered my ever-popular Motivational Interviewing course to an array of learners from across Stoke-on-Trent.  This included the local authority, the NHS, local charities and support services.  The course was commissioned by those legends over at Expert Citizens Insight Academy.  I have to thank Sam for continuing to sing my praises and for always been so supportive of my endeavours.

As ever, the feedback was 100% positive with a fair few people contacting me afterwards to say how they had started putting their learning into practice.  One learner, who would like to remain anonymous (ohhhhh) had this to say:

“Steve, I thought that my time as a support worker was coming to an end. I really did.  I was feeling like it’s all hopeless. After being on your course, I can honestly say you’ve lit a fire under me.  I’m back baby!  The way in which you explained each part of the course and had us practice was really inspirational to me and the how you use real-life stories and demonstrate your own skills.  I’ve done MI before, twice before actually and on both of those times I just didn’t get it.  I think I found the trainers boring. It was like there was way too much theory. I didn’t get that from you AT ALL! Honestly Steve, this was the best training ever!”
