"I feel confident that this will improve my practice." Lead Worker Training with Staffordshire County Council, March 2025

Greetings one and all,
Last week I had the absolute pleasure of training a cohort of staff from across various school, charities and agencies in Staffordshire. My ‘How to be a lead worker’ training is becoming something of a talking point and it was lovely to hear so many people say how much their colleagues had got out of the training. Di and I delivered the training in a wonderful venue, (Chasewater Park), it was a beautiful day and we managed to munch through our lunch outside, spring had indeed sprung on that day. The group were very engaged, motivated and loved the debates. I do love a ‘heated debate!’ People especially enjoyed hearing about Lynda and also seeing my working with her in the afternoon.
I’ll be returning next month and I’ve been recommissioned to deliver the training throughout 2025 and beyond. Here is a sample of the feedback comments, all of which were 100% positive:
“Excellent thought provoking and engaging training. Lots of useful strategies to put into place and it has made me reflect on my own practice and I hope it informs how I work with my families going forward. Steven and Di were fab, Steven kept everyone engaged and it was all super useful!”
“I found this training very informative and enjoyable. I will think more about my presence and the way that I speak and listen with people, including the type of questions that I ask or do not ask!”
“I really enjoyed the training. The way in which it was delivered was probably the best training I’ve ever been on. Very informative and real. I feel like I need to go away now and reflect on my practice. I will do my job better after this training. Thank you.”
