In November / December 2017, I will be launching the volunteer training programme for volunteers at All Saints Church and Hall. This exciting new National Lottery funded venture will be equipping volunteers (in Stoke-on-Trent) with the skills to support vulnerable, disadvantaged, and disenfranchised people in the community. Lisa-Ann and Kate have been working tirelessly to inform, educate and spread the message, with some fantastic results. We've got murder mysteries planned and fun, interactive training events. We're going all out to empower the volunteers and assist them into employment and / or more community involvement.
Training will contain diverse subjects such as; keeping confidentiality, maintaining and supporting the health and safety of yourself and others, excellent customer service, respecting diversity and including all types of people. Plus how to work alone and remain safe, maintaining and boosting good mental health and a host of other subjects and areas of interest. It's a huge list and each subject will get the 'Steven Talbot' magic touch!
